Since I first started Hot Chilli Photography back in 2005, I’ve held the philosophy that our business isn’t actually about glamour photography at all - it’s fundamentally about improving the lives and self-esteem of our customers, staff, and those we come into contact with through a fun, unique experience.
Every time we complete a glamour photography session with one of our customers, I’m always delighted to hear how the images lift their self-esteem and help them to realise just how beautiful they already are. Sure, we apply flattering lighting, high-quality photography equipment and expert techniques, but it’s the customer who provides the “raw ingredients” for us to work with.
In some ways, I see our job not so much as creating great glamour photography images (although it certainly is about that in a practical sense), but more about creating a safe environment for our customers to explore and discover the sexy, unique and exciting side of themselves. It’s a huge responsibility and a privilege, and one we enjoy immensely.
The most wonderful thing of all is that it’s a two-way street. With each photo-shoot assignment, I’ve found that meeting that individual has helped me learn something about myself, my team, the world in general, or about someone from a different walk of life.
This really is the best job in the world!
